About this Talk
This workshop is designed to inspire participants to use storytelling techniques to make workplace presentations more engaging and impactful, even when presenting routine information or data. It begins with an interactive discussion, where attendees share the types of presentations they typically deliver and the subjects they cover.
The session’s core is my "HUSSLE" method, a six-step framework:
H – Hero: Establish a relatable hero for the audience to connect with.
U – Uphill Struggle: Adding a challenge creates intrigue.
S – Show: Reinforce the message with evidence.
S – Solution: A resolution or takeaway enhances the presentation’s tone.
L – Learning: Highlighting a lesson provides valuable insights.
E – Extraordinary: Standing out makes a lasting impression.
Each step is illustrated with personal stories, underlining how using storytelling can enhance presentation effectiveness. The workshop concludes by encouraging participants to rethink their approach and apply the tools covered to boost audience engagement and impact.
